Remarkable recordings have been released for the first time of Noc the white whale trying to make contact with humans. Noc died 5 years ago, but had begun to use speech like sounds after spending time around human divers using underwater communication equipment at the National Marine Mammal Foundation in San Diego.
It’s quite amazing to consider that a species of whale would try to make vocal contact with humans. What would they try to tell us if they could?
