Terracotta tiles look amazing! The bright oranges, rich reds and browns of the clay are completely unique and will look gorgeous in many areas of the home from the garden right through to the hallway.
However, some terracotta floor tiles are porous, so it’s definitely a good idea to seal them. Sealing terracotta floor tiles will prevent any spills seeping in and staining them. Terracotta tiles can look fabulous in a kitchen, but spillages can often occur in there, don’t worry! This doesn’t mean that you can’t have terracotta tiles; with decent sealant you shouldn’t have any problems keeping your tiles in good condition.
Terracotta tiles are great for using outdoors as they are frost resistant but again, you’ll need to use a sealer to keep them in good condition.
Sealant don’t just keep the tiles waterproof but they add so many other benefits too. You can give then tile a nice sheen, or even change the overall colour of the tile. Sealant will help to prevent general wear and tear in buys parts of your home. An extra layer will provide and extra layer of protection from scratches and scuffs.
