The 14th of April 2013 marked the 80th anniversary of the first recorded sighting of this unusual and mysterious creature. The Loch Ness Monster is an enduring mystery that has raised millions of pounds for the Scottish tourist industry. Loch Ness is a freshwater loch that connects via the river Oich and the Caledonian Canal to Loch Oich on the southern end and the Bona Narrows to Loch Dochfour on the Northern end, the Loch is around 230 metres at its deepest .……..So plenty of room for Nessie to play around in!
